Blue Pivot Exercises

Snow Board

Pivot Side slip

Terrain

Light Blue with constant fall line

Activity

The rider will slide down the hill in a side slip, then will allow the board to pivot under themselves and transfer to a new edge and continue down the fall line inside a board and a half corridor. Upper body will continue to face down fall line threwout the whole drill. The rider will start on the heal edge rotating threw to toe edge, then back to heal edge, then again threw to toe edge, and finally back to heals once more. I.e. start on heals one full pivot to the left end on toes. Pivot back to heals. One full pivot to the right to toes, pivot back to heals.

Emphasis

Rider must find a lower stance to allow the board to pivot more freely under the upper body.

Notes

This is a pivot drill with focus on upper lower body separation. If the upper body turns away from the fall line rider is not completing the drill as intended.
